Learning and Development

About Learning and Development

It is the mission of the First Providence Learning and Development Center to extend the ministry by providing programs that develop children socially, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. We will provide a safe, healthy, cheerful and challenging environment, which will enable children to reach their full potential.

We believe that pre-school aged children are active learners who develop in their own unique manner; they are also literal-minded, which makes it difficult to understand abstract concepts. Therefore, we utilize as teaching tools a variety of appropriate activities that appeal to children's interests while stimulating their minds. In addition, the Learning and Development Center provides supplemental outreach services to the children's families in order to engage the entire family in each child's education and development process.

We always welcome volunteers to help us with field trips, activities or even just to drop in for a visit and
share a story with the children

First Providence Learning and Development Center is an equal opportunity provider. We provide equal access to all of our facilities. Applications for enrollment and employment are accepted without regard to race, creed, color, sex, age, religion, national origin or disability.
